A Review of 2007, Year of the Pig:
The three little pigs spent most of the year rooting through the flotsam and jetsam of the housing and credit quagmire when the dam of good intentions began to burst. Wolf junior built the biggest green paper dam pinata ever! Now, poor little piggies the world over are lining up for slaughter. Will it be saver pig or borrower pig?
Meanwhile, celebrity pig gorged on drugs, booze, sex, gambling, emotional breakdowns, rassl'n, shame, remorse... while lesser pigs wallowed on the couch in awe of the hero pig, the 'Biggest Loser'.
Wolf doctor huffed and puffed that little pigs will have much shorter lives from slopping in supersized troughs which can lead to diabeates, heart disease, stroke and other life shortening health problems.
Providentially, peace pig made progress everyday. Like Mickey Mouse in the Disney Classic 'Fantasia', peace pig got Peace Bear on board The Peace Race!
2008 is a Rat Year
Like a washing machine it will be a year of pre-spin, spin, wash spin, rinse spin, final spin, spin, spin, spin until all heads are spinning in a seasick attempt to synchronize their gyros with spin speak. The rat embodies the spirit of survival by any means necessary.
A year of sly but very loose poker play with treasures won on stacked decks, cuffed cards and other clever tricks. For the sucker at the table, heavenly sums are easily lost in THEIR casino with their stacked deck, shill players and team play. A survivor rat caught under the boot will chew through it and bite the foot within.
More Specific 2008 Predictions
Peace :
Fantasia is an old movie that geezers have seen over and over and over again. It's the same story every screening. Maybe it's time for a remake so that the next generation will go see it. Here's part of the story: Orthodox, Peace Bear, rediscovers the icons of its past. In good faith, Peace Bear begins to Wage Peace around the world.
Established, peace hawk is outraged with heretical, orthodox peace wagers on it's world turf. What follows is a Peace Race that escalates into a hilarious, frolicking, conventional thrashing of traditional prejudices, misunderstandings, theories and practices by 'a cast of thousands'.
Fortunately, like Star Wars, this part of the story is Chapter 7 and happens later but the opening chapters (chess moves) started soon in a theater near you.
Money and Finance :
If the rat is your friend, he will make you a fortune. If not, don't be too surprised
if the rat takes your house before wolf junior does and everything else including
Fort Knox. You will know where you stand with the rat at year's end depending on
whether you are living in a castle or homeless and naked.
As one bubble bursts another starts to inflate...
In the last bubble the price of the asset had no basis in reality. It just kept
on rising without any end in sight...
Romance :
The rat brings cleverness, spontenaeity, haste and excitement to romantic endeavors. The rat can be a prolonged tease but when cornered will turn out to be a very sensuous and eager lover with remarkable endurance from long hours spent running on a tredmill in a rat cage.
Health:
A very active survival mind can lead to disorders of the mind that can progress to the body as well. Survival cleverness can lead to an overactive mind to the point of dullness, insomnia, physical exhaustion and related physical disorders. Should ill health strike, crawl into a rat hole and relax the mind through meditation; relax the body with relaxation therapies; rebalance through balanced meals instead of junk food and cheeze balls; rebalance haste with paced priorities.
Happiness:
Rats love variety and challenges both mental and physical. Having grown up in the dumps, they aspire to the finer digs in life. They know what they want and they know how to get it.
Hopefully rats will be clever enough to to expend their cleverness on climbing to the top of the heap and staying there celebrating life!
